In Loving Memory of Dianne Germae Clark Obituary: Beloved resident sadly passed away

Dianne Germae Clark

Honoring a Life Lost to Tragedy and Calling for Compassion and Justice

With a heavy heart, we share the passing of Dianne Germae Clark, age 76, of Union City, who died on July 29, 2025, under deeply distressing circumstances. Dianne’s death, caused by sepsis due to severe infection, has led to criminal charges against her caretakers for neglect of a vulnerable adult resulting in death. Her story is heartbreaking, and it demands both remembrance and reflection.

Born with grace and resilience, Dianne lived a life that deserved dignity, care, and love. She was a woman who, like so many elders, relied on others in her later years for support and compassion. Her passing is not only a personal loss to those who knew her, but a sobering reminder of the responsibility we all share in protecting the most vulnerable among us. The details surrounding Dianne’s death are painful to read, and even more painful to accept. Found in unsanitary conditions, suffering from untreated wounds and lacking basic medical care, Dianne’s final days were marked by suffering that no one should endure. Her death was preventable, and the grief it leaves behind is compounded by the injustice of her treatment.

To those who knew Dianne as a sister, friend, neighbor, or community member, we extend our deepest condolences. May you find peace in the memories of her better days, and strength in the pursuit of accountability and change. Her life mattered. Her story must be told—not only to honor her, but to ensure that others are never forgotten or mistreated.

In keeping with her wishes, Dianne will be cremated, and a private celebration of life will be held at a later date. The family is being served by Lighthouse Funeral & Cremation in Union City.

With solemn respect and heartfelt sympathy,
