A Community Reflects on a Day of Disruption, Injury, and Gratitude for Emergency Responders

With a heavy heart, we reflect on the events of Monday, November 10, 2025, when two back-to-back traffic collisions disrupted the evening commute along Three Notch Road in California, Maryland. These incidents, occurring just moments apart, left two individuals injured and sent ripples of concern through the community.

The first crash, reported around 3:40 p.m. near Town Creek Drive, involved four vehicles traveling northbound. Emergency medical crews arrived swiftly, evaluating one person at the scene and transporting them to MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment. Just minutes later, a second rear-end collision occurred on the southbound side of the roadway. First responders, already on site, quickly crossed over to assist another injured occupant, who was also taken to the hospital for care. While both individuals are expected to recover, the emotional and physical toll of such sudden trauma cannot be understated. These moments remind us of how fragile life can be—how a routine drive can turn into a life-altering event in the blink of an eye.

To the victims and their families, we extend our deepest sympathies and heartfelt wishes for healing. Your strength in the face of adversity is a testament to the human spirit. We also recognize the tireless efforts of the emergency crews, police officers, and medical personnel who responded with urgency, compassion, and professionalism. Their presence brought order to chaos and comfort to those in need.As police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding both crashes, let us take this moment to reflect on the importance of patience, attentiveness, and care on our roads. Traffic may resume, but the impact of these events lingers in the hearts of those affected.

May this tribute serve as a reminder that behind every headline is a human story—of pain, resilience, and the quiet heroism of those who step forward in times of crisis.

With respect and compassion,
