A Gentle Soul, A Cherished Life, A Lasting Legacy
With deep sorrow and heartfelt remembrance, we honour the life of Simon Kitchen, who passed away peacefully at home in Buxton on 2nd November 2025, aged 56. Simon was a man of quiet strength, unwavering kindness, and deep devotion to those he loved. His passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Simon was the beloved son of Maureen and Charles, a devoted brother to Kimberley, and a supportive brother-in-law to Gareth. He was a cherished uncle to Lilly and Jack, whose lives were brightened by his warmth, humour, and gentle guidance. To his family, Simon was a constant source of love and steadiness—a man who gave generously of himself and asked for little in return. Throughout his life, Simon touched many with his sincerity and compassion. He had a quiet way of making people feel seen and valued, and his presence brought comfort and calm. Whether sharing a laugh, lending a hand, or simply listening, Simon’s kindness was felt deeply and remembered fondly.
His love for community was evident in his support for local causes, including Blythe House and the Fairfield Brass Band—organisations that reflect his values of care, connection, and creativity. In lieu of flowers, donations in Simon’s memory may be made to these groups, continuing his legacy of giving and support. Simon’s funeral service will be held at St. Peter’s Church, Fairfield, on Monday 1st December 2025 at 2pm, followed by a committal at Macclesfield Crematorium. It will be a time to gather, reflect, and celebrate a life lived with grace and generosity.
To all who mourn Simon’s passing, we extend our deepest condolences. May you find comfort in the memories you shared and strength in the love that surrounds you. Though he is no longer with us in body, Simon’s spirit lives on—in every act of kindness, every moment of peace, and every heart he touched.
With love, respect, and enduring gratitude,
