With a heavy heart, we share the tragic passing of Patrick Deon Thomas of Greenville, South Carolina, who died on Sunday evening, November 9, 2025, following a collision along Augusta Road. Patrick, a bicyclist traveling northbound, was struck by an SUV around 8:04 p.m. and was transported to Prisma Health-Greenville Memorial Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries at 8:16 p.m. He was 45 years old.
According to the Greenville County Coroner’s Office, Patrick’s death was caused by blunt force injuries and has been ruled an accident. The incident remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol and local authorities. Patrick’s sudden departure has left a deep void in the hearts of his family, friends, and the Greenville community. Known for his quiet strength and kind spirit, Patrick was a man who lived simply but touched many lives. Whether riding his bicycle through familiar streets or lending a helping hand to neighbors, he carried himself with humility and warmth.
