With heavy hearts, we share the profound loss of Maria T. Kleinigger, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and cherished friend. Maria’s departure on November 10, 2025, marks the end of a life filled with love, faith, and unwavering devotion to her family and community. She was fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, passing peacefully on the same day, a testament to her lifelong faith and grace.

Born on April 3, 1945, Maria’s life was a shining example of kindness, resilience, and compassion. She dedicated herself to her family, nurturing her son Vincent and honoring the memory of her late husband Arnold Kleinigger. As a beloved Nonna, she delighted in her grandchildren Nicole, Meghan, and Kate, whose lives were enriched by her love, wisdom, and gentle guidance. Her nurturing spirit and warmth left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her. Maria was also a devoted sister to John (the late Laura) Nocito, Jack (Carole) Nocito, and the late Josephine (survived by Rich) Digilio. Her familial bonds extended beyond her immediate family, as she was a caring aunt, cousin, and friend to many. Her kindness and genuine nature made her a pillar of strength and comfort to all who knew her.

Throughout her life, Maria exemplified faith and community service. Her commitment to her beliefs and her willingness to help others made a difference in countless lives. Her legacy of love and faith continues to inspire those she leaves behind.

A funeral service honoring Maria’s life will be held on Friday, November 14, beginning with visitation at 4:00 p.m. at Kutis Affton Chapel. The service will proceed to St. Lucy Parish (St. Joan of Arc) for a Mass at 10:00 a.m., followed by entombment at Resurrection Mausoleum. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects and celebrate her life during the visitation on Thursday, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Backstoppers, a charity close to her heart, supporting families of fallen heroes. Maria’s legacy of faith, love, and kindness will forever remain in our hearts. May she rest in eternal peace.
