With a heavy heart, we share the tragic passing of Megan Elisabeth Giles, age 19, of Jackson’s Gap in Tallapoosa County, Alabama, who died on Saturday, November 8, 2025, after being struck by a vehicle while crossing Jack Warner Parkway at the intersection of Queen City Avenue in Tuscaloosa. The incident occurred just before the Alabama-LSU football game, a moment meant for celebration that was instead marked by profound loss.
Megan was transported to DCH Regional Medical Center, where she later succumbed to her injuries. The driver involved in the collision remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
